The space at 580 Lincoln Park has been home to many restaurant concepts over the years including Pavilion Grille, Lincoln Park Grille, Norton’s, and, most recently, The Tropics, which closed at the end of 2014. Is it the concept of the locations that has doomed the former business that tried to capitalize on proximity to the Fraze Pavilion? Despite being tucked away in the back of an office complex, my guy always went with concept. After enjoying several terrific meals at Park City Club since it opened at the end of last year, I think the location has finally found a recipe for success, and I am more confident in my answer.

One of the rising stars in the Dayton’s restaurant scene is Dana Downs. Downs is the force behind the popular Roost Modern Italian in the Oregon District. Now the chef has embarked on a new, and rather risky, venture. Downs just opened Park City Club in Kettering, inside a space that has seen restaurants open and then close in recent years.
